About Transactional Analysis (TA)
American psychiatrist, Eric Berne, developed TA in the 1950's. It has continued to grow and develop worldwide since that time.
Transactional Analysis is a theory of personality and a systematic psychotherapy for personal growth and change.

Three basic assumptions of TA
| · |
People are fundamentally okay. All people have worth, value and dignity as human beings. |
| · |
Everyone has the capacity to think and therefore to take responsibility for their choices.
|
| · |
People decide their own destiny, and these decisions can be changed.
|
| · |
The therapist and the client agree on a contract for change and take joint responsibility for achieving that.
|
| · |
There is open communication between therapist and client about what is happening in their work together.
