Client Rights

You are entitled to a service free from exploitation.

I acknowledge the need for safe practice relating to your ethnicity,
sexual orientation, gender and cultural beliefs.

As an ethical practitioner, I do not form friendships with clients. If we should meet in a social setting, I will only acknowledge you, if you make the initial contact.

All contact with you will be treated as confidential, with the following exceptions:

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur the agreed fee.

Cancellations with more than 24 hours and less than 48 hours notice will incur half the agreed fee.

·	To ensure that you are getting the best possible service, I may discuss some of the work we do together with my supervisor. This would only occur on the basis that you are not identified in any way.
·	If your Doctor has referred you, with your permission, the doctor may be kept informed of the progress of your therapy.

Otherwise, confidentiality will only be broken through a court order or if I believe you or someone else is at risk of serious harm.

·	Keep me informed of any medical treatment you are receiving.
·	Give me feedback about what you are finding helpful or unhelpful during sessions.
·	Phone me only in cases of urgency, if you have a need to change an appointment or if we have an agreement about phone contact.
·	Advise me if you are using alcohol excessively, or any prescribed or non-prescribed drugs.
·	Inform me if you believe your condition may pose a risk of harm to yourself or others.
·	Pay the agreed fee at the end of each session.
